I hate thunderstorms. I always have and always will.
They combine two of my most hated things: bright lights and loud noises. I wouldn’t mind them so much if they were just lights without the noises or vice versa, but BOTH? Come on, now.
What it is even worse is when they happen at night especially when you are trying to sleep or something. You have the light flashing in the dark room and then obnoxious bum-bum-bum crashing sound keeping you awake. And then just when you think you are about to fall asleep then the mother of all thunderstorms unleashes it’s fury and scares the bejesus out of you.
Then you have to worry about being struck by it too. Except its highly unlikely but my luck I would get struck by lightning because it’s just something that I feel like I would prone to. Kinda like I am prone to being in awkward situations but that’s a completely different discussion. 🙂
Only time I liked thunderstorms is when they were during the day in the summer when I lifeguarded because I would get to close the pool. And when the pool was shut down, I would usually screw around and not do anything. But I am not lifeguarding anymore so, my small liking for thunderstorms during the day has been vanquished.
In conclusion, I really hate thunderstorms. The government needs to make a weather machine that stops thunderstorms or something like that. Or they can do something useful and capture the electricity from the lightning and use it for shit.
